Batch endpoints like /multi/prices send up to 10 tokens per call. Each token costs 1 credit. One API call with 10 tokens costs 10 credits. This applies to all tiers.
Auto-recharge
When you exceed your Pro base (5M), we auto-charge $20 per 1M block to your card. You're never interrupted. Monthly spend is hard-capped at $2,000. Buy bulk credits upfront to pay less per credit.
Streaming metering
Every SSE price update costs 1 credit. 10 tokens at 1 update/second, 8 hours/day = 8.6M credits/month. Enterprise streaming is unmetered. No token limits on any tier, just credit volume.
Feature comparison
Feature comparison across the Keyless, Free, Pro and Enterprise tiers
Streaming meters the same way as REST: one delivered update is one credit. Cost follows how actively an asset trades, not how long you stay connected. A busy asset delivers tens of updates a minute; a quiet one can sit still for minutes and cost almost nothing. Connections are free, updates are what you pay for. Plan your credit usage
How DexPaprika compares
Head-to-head with leading DEX data providers.
DexPaprika compared with CoinGecko, DexScreener and Bitquery
One API request costs 1 credit, always: there are no compute units and no per-endpoint multipliers. Batch endpoints charge per item, so /networks/{network}/multi/prices?tokens= with 10 addresses costs 10 credits in one HTTP call. On Keyless, Free and Pro each delivered SSE update also costs 1 credit. Enterprise streaming is unmetered.
What happens when I hit my free limit?
An HTTP 402, not a 429. A 402 means the monthly credit allowance is spent; a 429 means too many requests in one minute. The 402 body names your tier, your credit totals and resets_at, the UTC timestamp when the allowance rolls over, and it carries no Retry-After header, which is how you tell the two apart in code. Keyless and over 200K: register a free API key for 500K. On a free key and over 500K: move to Pro. Your data access stops, but you're never charged.
How do overages work on Pro?
When you exceed your 5M included credits, we auto-charge $20 per additional 1M block to your card. This continues until your monthly spend hits $2,000, then we cap it. You can also pre-buy bulk credits (5M for $79, 15M for $199, 50M for $499), which cost less per credit.
Is the data really real-time on the free tier?
Keyless and Free are capped at 15 seconds. That cap exists to protect CPU under scraping load, not to make Pro look better: Pro and Enterprise serve the same figures with no added delay. Nothing else about the data differs. Every endpoint, every chain and the same history depth are on Free too.
Do I need an API key?
Not on the Keyless tier. You can make 200K credits/month per IP with no signup at all. Register for a free API key (no credit card) to move to Free and get 500K/month. Pro and Enterprise require API keys.
Can AI agents use DexPaprika?
Yes. The Keyless tier requires no API key, so any AI agent can query DexPaprika out of the box. We also offer free MCP integration for Claude, Cursor, and other AI clients. This quarter, x402 micropayments will let agents pay per request with crypto.
What can I stream?
Three feeds, each on its own endpoint. Prices push a new USD value when a swap moves it. Transactions push the individual swaps as they land. Reserves push a pool's liquidity and the change since the last one. Without an API key you get prices only, on the 36 showcase tokens, one flagship asset per chain. A free API key opens all three on any token we index, up to 10 concurrent streams per IP, and Pro raises that to 100.
How does streaming billing work?
On Keyless, Free and Pro each delivered update costs 1 credit, whichever of the three feeds it came from. Connections themselves are free: updates are what you pay for. They arrive when the market moves, not on a fixed tick, so budget from the pair's own trading activity rather than from how long you stay connected. A token averaging 10 updates a minute costs about 432,000 credits a month, one averaging 1 update a minute about 43,000. Enterprise streaming is unmetered.
What's the difference between auto-recharge and bulk credits?
Auto-recharge is automatic: when you exceed 5M, we charge $20 per 1M block to your card. Bulk credits are pre-purchased at a discount (21-50% less per credit). You can use both: buy credits for your expected usage, and auto-recharge handles any overflow.
Can I switch plans or cancel anytime?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. No contracts, no cancellation fees. If you downgrade mid-cycle, you keep your current tier until the end of the billing period.
When should I consider Enterprise?
When your Pro bill consistently approaches $1,000-2,000/month, Enterprise usually makes more sense. You get unlimited credits, unmetered streaming, dedicated infrastructure, a 99.95% SLA, and a dedicated account manager. Contact us and we'll build a custom plan.
