BasedHype

BasedHype is a community-driven meme token built on the Base network, introduced in July 2025 to highlight concerns over unsustainable tokenomics in the cryptocurrency industry. With a total supply of 10 billion tokens, BasedHype incorporates deflationary mechanisms designed to gradually reduce its circulating supply. Starting August 1, 2025, the project will implement monthly burns of 200 million tokens from a designated vesting pool, with potential increases to a burn rate of 4% per month in 2026, contingent on community consensus. To ensure trading stability, 20% of the total supply, amounting to 2 billion tokens, is allocated to liquidity, which is securely locked until June 30, 2028. This setup mitigates the risk of liquidity withdrawal, thus promoting a robust trading environment. The contract operates under standard ERC-20 compliance, having renounced minting permissions and upgrade capabilities, verified by a high DEXTools score. Additional token allocations include a founder vault (4.5%) locked until January 2028 for ceremonial purposes, a media and listing reserve (4.5%) that unlocks at a market cap of $500 million, and a community vault (1.5%) aimed at providing incentives. BasedHype does not follow a traditional roadmap or have a formal team; instead, it is governed by a decentralized collective known as the Signal Tribe, which emphasizes meme virality and transparency. The project features a Transparency Hub that allows community members to track real-time data related to token burns, locked assets, and vault allocations, reinforcing the token's commitment to verifiable scarcity. Trading occurs on Uniswap V2, where a minimal fee is applied, with proceeds going to liquidity providers, thus generating yield without additional emissions.
