This token will be introduced alongside the launch of the new version of the Empty Set protocol. Holders of the existing tokens, ESD and Bonded ESD, will have the opportunity to migrate their balances to Empty Set Share. This migration process establishes a hard cap on the total supply of ESS, directly linked to the amount of ESD and ESDS transitioned from the previous version. In addition to the initial migration, the Empty Set DAO retains the authority to mint new ESS tokens through governance decisions.
