About Pundi X Token
Pundi X aims to simplify cryptocurrency spending, making it as easy as using a credit card. The NPXS token is integral to this vision, intended for use on Ethereum-based Point-of-Sale devices. By enabling these devices, Pundi X seeks to provide basic banking services to underserved regions such as Latin America and Indonesia, addressing a major challenge in crypto adoption: the ability to make everyday purchases.
The project successfully raised $35 million during its ICO, which ran from September 2017 to January 2018, selling a total of 35 billion NPXS tokens. A portion of the tokens was retained by the team for development, while others were allocated to early investors and bounty programs, ensuring community engagement and marketing efforts.
The Pundi X team consists of skilled technologists and entrepreneurs, with a strong background in computer engineering and serial entrepreneurship. The leadership includes CEO Zac Cheah, who has a unique background in HTML game development, and President Constantin Papadimitrou, known for his success in scaling fintech companies. CTO/COO Pitt Huang has a proven track record of building and selling businesses, further enhancing the team's capabilities.
In addition to the Point-of-Sale devices, Pundi X is developing the XPASS card, which will work with a mobile app and wallet to facilitate payments. This card will allow users to access funds directly from their mobile wallets and view real-time cryptocurrency prices, enabling them to select the best payment option at the moment of purchase. This innovation aims to enhance the practicality and value of cryptocurrencies in everyday transactions.
Pundi X is on an ambitious mission to drive the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies, and its ongoing efforts, such as the deployment of the first 500 POS devices, demonstrate a commitment to realizing this vision. The project combines innovative technology with a clear purpose, positioning itself as a potential leader in the future of digital currency transactions.
