US Nerite Dollar (USND) is a stablecoin designed to maintain a value of $1.00, created by the Nerite protocol, which operates as a friendly fork of Liquity on the Arbitrum network. This stablecoin offers users the ability to borrow against various assets, including ETH, wstETH, rETH, tBTC, along with select LRTs and DeFi tokens. One of the key features of USND is the flexibility it provides borrowers. When establishing a Collateralized Debt Position (CDP) within the Nerite ecosystem, borrowers can set their own interest rates, tailoring their borrowing experience to suit their financial strategies. In addition to its borrowing capabilities, USND generates yield for users when deposited in Stability Pools (SPs). This yield is derived from multiple sources, including borrowing fees, with 75% of the fees paid by borrowers being allocated to depositors of the USND stablecoin. Liquidations and inflationary incentives also contribute to the yield earned by these deposits.
