Non-Playable Coin (NPC) is a unique meme coin and NFT-hybrid designed for the global community, reflecting a playful spirit based on the popular non-playable character meme. The project's motto, "I support the current coin," pays homage to a well-known meme that gained traction in 2018. What sets NPC apart is its innovative design, where the total token supply matches the world population as recorded on July 26, 2023. Each token can be converted into an NFT at a 1:1 ratio, allowing it to function as both an ERC20 token for trading on decentralized exchanges, and as an ERC1155 NFT for trading on NFT marketplaces. This dual capability creates a new category called a meme fungible token (MFT), bridging the gap between two distinct liquidity markets. The project was inspired by the limitations observed in traditional NFT collections, particularly those with high exclusivity and gas costs. NPC aims to demonstrate that broader community engagement is possible by utilizing the ERC1155 standard, while also enhancing liquidity through its fungible ERC20 format. Looking ahead, the NPC project plans to introduce a customization tool that will allow users to accessorize their NFTs and export their creations for use as profile photos. The team is also developing infrastructure to further integrate the liquidity of ERC20 tokens with ERC1155 tokens, positioning NPC as a central showcase of this innovative approach. While NPC serves primarily as a meme coin for entertainment purposes, it invites users to engage with the culture of NFTs and memes in a new and accessible way.
