Stader is a non-custodial, multi-chain liquid staking platform designed to provide users with easy access to lucrative staking and DeFi opportunities across various Proof-of-Stake networks, including Ethereum, Polygon, BNB, and Hedera. With over 85,000 stakers, Stader caters to a diverse audience that includes retail users, exchanges, custodians, and institutions, all aiming to earn rewards through staking their crypto assets. The SD token serves as the governance token for the Stader ecosystem. This ERC-20 token has a maximum supply of 120 million and is held by more than 23,000 holders. It offers several key utilities that enhance the staking experience and community involvement. One of the notable features is the SD Utility Pool, which rewards holders for supporting Ethereum decentralization by delegating to the pool. Additionally, users can participate in liquidity mining by providing SD liquidity across decentralized exchanges, potentially earning incentives as determined by governance decisions. Another important function of the SD token is its requirement for node operators. Every permissionless node operator collaborating with ETHx must bond a minimum of 0.4 ETH worth of SD per validator, ensuring a commitment to network security. Lastly, SD holders have the power to influence the Stader platform through governance and voting. They can participate in decisions related to protocol upgrades, reward structures, validator selection criteria, and other aspects of protocol expansion, fostering a community-driven approach.
