LUSD is a stablecoin that is fully redeemable and pegged to the US dollar, issued by the Liquity Protocol. This protocol facilitates decentralized borrowing, enabling users to secure loans at a 0% interest rate using Ether as collateral. Loans are provided in LUSD and require a minimum collateral ratio of just 110%. The loans are further secured by a Stability Pool that holds LUSD and involves other borrowers acting as guarantors. This collective support enhances the security and reliability of the loans. Liquity operates as a non-custodial, immutable, and governance-free protocol, ensuring that it functions without the need for intermediaries or centralized control.
