XL1 is the utility token of XYO Layer One, a groundbreaking scalable data blockchain designed to securely bring verifiable information on-chain. This token facilitates gas and transaction fee payments, while a portion of these fees is burned through network activity. XL1 enhances the functionality of smart contracts, decentralized applications (dApps), and rewards for validators. It also enables bridging and wrapping to connect with other blockchain networks and encourages user engagement through staking and performance-based rewards. The XYO Layer One ecosystem operates on a dual-token model, where XL1 serves as the operational token of the blockchain, and XYO supports the contributor network focused on rewards, governance, and security. XYO utilizes a decentralized network of over 10 million nodes to collect and verify real-world data, enabling companies in both Web2 and Web3 to integrate trustworthy information into their applications. This network leverages unique technologies like Proof of Location and Proof of Origin, which are essential for applications in real-world assets, location-based gaming, and geospatial intelligence. With an initial supply of 38 billion XL1 tokens, approximately 5.7 billion will be circulating at launch.
