Stader is a non-custodial liquid staking platform that operates across multiple chains, providing users with access to top staking and DeFi opportunities in Proof-of-Stake networks such as Ethereum, Polygon, BNB, and Hedera. The platform is designed for a diverse range of users, including retail investors, exchanges, custodians, and institutions, all seeking to earn rewards by staking their cryptocurrency assets. With a community of over 85,000 stakers, Stader simplifies the staking process while ensuring users can maximize their earning potential. The SD token serves as the governance token for the Stader platform. As an ERC-20 token, it has a maximum supply of 120 million tokens distributed among more than 23,000 holders. The SD token provides several essential utilities that enhance the platform's functionality and user engagement. One unique feature of the SD token is the SD Utility Pool, which rewards holders for their contributions to Ethereum's decentralization by delegating assets to the pool. Additionally, liquidity mining opportunities allow users to provide SD liquidity across decentralized exchanges in exchange for potential SD incentives, contingent on governance decisions. Node operators also benefit from the SD token, as they are required to bond a minimum of 0.4 ETH worth of SD for each validator they operate in the ETHx network. This bonding requirement helps to secure the network while providing additional value to SD holders. Lastly, the SD token plays a crucial role in governance, enabling holders to vote on various aspects of the Stader protocol, including upgrades, rewards policies, and validator selection criteria.
