The STEPN application combines elements of Social-Fi and Game-Fi, allowing users to earn tokens and NFTs by engaging in physical activities such as walking, jogging, or running outdoors while wearing NFT Sneakers. Players can utilize GMT to unlock various features in the app, including minting high-quality Sneakers, upgrading Gems, and participating in governance voting. Users have the option to lease or trade their NFT Sneakers through the in-app Marketplace, and their earnings are conveniently stored in the built-in Wallet, which offers a swap function for easy transactions. This dual-token system also allows users to earn additional rewards, further incentivizing participation. Developed by Find Satoshi Lab, an Australian fintech studio, STEPN emerged as a notable project after winning the 2021 Solana Ignition Hackathon Gaming Track.
