Chroma is a public, open-source blockchain developed by Chromaway AB, a Swedish company. Launched in May 2019, Chroma is designed to enhance decentralized applications (dApps) by providing a scalable and efficient platform. It is based on innovative technology adapted from the earlier Postchain solution, aimed at enterprise clients. As a standalone Layer-1 blockchain and an EVM-compatible Layer-2 enhancement, Chroma integrates seamlessly with Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum. Its unique architecture incorporates a relational blockchain and a custom programming language called Rell, which offers a coding experience similar to SQL.
