Syndicate

Syndicate is a network designed to empower developers to create and manage smart rollups, which are specialized blockchains equipped with programmable on-chain smart sequencers. Set to launch on September 17, 2025, Syndicate shifts the sequencing process from centralized off-chain services to transparent smart contracts. This transition allows applications to tailor their transaction ordering, fee structures, and governance models to meet specific needs. The SYND token features a capped supply of 1 billion tokens and serves dual purposes as the native gas token and governance token of the Syndicate Network and its Commons Chain. Initially deployed on Ethereum with bridging capabilities to Base, 92% of the SYND supply will be minted at launch, while the remaining 8% will be distributed through programmatic emissions over the next four years. As a gas token, SYND is required for sequencing transactions, deploying sequencer contracts, and writing blocks on the network. As a governance token, it enables holders to influence the network's future through a decentralized association that manages the token treasury. Starting from October 1, 2025, token holders will also have the opportunity to stake SYND on the Commons Chain, earning rewards from a dedicated pool of 80 million tokens over 48 thirty-day epochs. The staking mechanism includes multiple pools, such as the Base Pool, Performance Pool, and Appchain Pool, each designed to reward participants based on their stake duration and the success of appchains they support. Holders can engage with SYND using standard web3 infrastructure for both staking and governance. After transferring tokens from Ethereum or Base to the Commons Chain, users can stake SYND and allocate their stake across various appchains for defined periods. As of October 31, 2025, stakers will be required to direct 100% of their stake to specific appchains, enhancing the alignment between token holders and the growth of the ecosystem. The unique smart sequencer architecture allows appchains to upgrade seamlessly through smart contracts, enabling modifications in transaction ordering and fee distributions with ease. As the network evolves, SYND's role will expand to include securing the network through proof-of-stake validation, transitioning the economic model from emission-driven to fee-driven as user adoption grows. The governance structure ensures that critical decisions remain in the hands of token holders, thereby fostering a community-controlled ecosystem that benefits all participants.
